I am continuously amazed at the incredible talent and creativity of Everything Octopus readers. Children's book artist, Nina Crittenden, recently shared her underwater illustration featuring a variety of sea creatures including one very handsome Daniel Day Octopus.

Nina even has a coloring book version available on her site, NinaCrittenden.com for kids to color in their own imaginative interpretations of the under-the-sea illustration as well as others.

Hand-painted pointillism tentacles cover this size medium roller derby or skate helmet. Our hand-painted helmets are standard skate/derby helmets with interior foam cushioning and adjustable chin strap. They are hand-painted with lacquer markers, then sealed with a layer of clear acrylic.

A few weeks ago, while shopping for fabric at the Pacific Design Center, I made the discovery of a lifetime! Fabulous indoor/outdoor octopus fabric! And best of all, it's rather affordable at $46/yard.
