Atlantic Longarm Octopus Pictures

Customarily, I explore a species of octopus and then post a video featuring that specific species. Well guess what? I have searched high and low and have not found a single video of the Atlantic Longarm Octopus (Octopus Defilippi)! I hope I can make it up to you with some beautiful pictures of the aloof little trickster:

The following images were snapped in St. Vincent by Thomas W. Doeppner and were found on the Brown University Website.

The following images were shot in St. Vincent by marine life photographer, Andrew J. Martinez, and feature two Atlantic Longarm Octopuses mating.

No videos? I just uploaded a video of what I believe to be a Atlantic Longarm Octopus on Youtube. I took this video on Sunday, August 15th, 2010. I took the video in Leinster Bay on St. John, US Virgin Islands. I saw 3 or 4 of them that day. I got pictures too, but have not uploaded them to any site. The video is in 720p HD. I could use some verification on the species. It may still be processing, because it literally just finished uploading.
URL for the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjnGUBynbBI

There are more videos to come.

It is pretty impressive how it digs it way into the sand. I read that people in some countries are using it instead of viagra but it is better to Buy Viagra
